I am an author, blogger, interfaith speaker, and excited about my recent book, It’s Not What You Think. An American Woman in Saudi Arabia.
I lived and worked in Saudi Arabia, where I planned to stay for two years and ended up staying for six.
With a light touch and some humor, I attempt to dismantle some of the misconceptions about women, the culture shock I first experienced and the ease with which I and many of the expats adapted, a woman’s place in the workplace, and the contradictions in the lifestyle. I share the experience of being on 9/11, the impact of the invasion of Iraq, and I take the reader on a spiritual journey of the hajj.
